Cricket Ka Hindi Name – Hardik Himanshu Pandya (born 11 October 1993) is an Indian cricketer who was briefly the vice-captain of the Indian cricket team in the limited overs format. An all-rounder who can also bowl a right-arm fast delivery, Pandya has represented India in all 3 formats. He plays for the Baroda cricket team in domestic cricket and is the captain of Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and he won their IPL home title with them in the 2022 edition. His brother Krunal Pandya is also a professional cricketer.
Hardik Pandya was born on 11 October 1993 in Surat, Gujarat. His father, Himanshu Pandya, ran a small car finance business in Surat which he closed and moved to Vadodara when Hardik was five years old to provide better cricket training facilities for his children. Himanshu Pandya works as a loan company in Vadodara.

His first Twty20 international wicket was Chris Lynn. In the second T20I against the Sri Lankan cricket team in Ranchi, he exploded in front of Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni and hit 27 off 14 balls before falling prey to Thisara Perera’s hat-trick.
In the 2016 Asia Cup, Pandya blasted an 18 ball 31 to help India post a respectable score against Bangladesh. Later, he also took a wicket to secure victory. However, Pandya failed to make an impact as expected. He scored 11 against Pakistan, India lost by 10 wickets. The subsequent round of 23 against New Zealand did not help India’s cause in the tournament as a loss against New Zealand meant that India were knocked out of the World Cup despite big wins over inexperienced teams like Afghanistan, Scotland and Namibia. Pandya was chosen as the governor. However, he only bowled 2 overs against New Zealand without taking any wickets and conceding 17 runs. Due to his lack of runs and his inability to contribute with the ball, he was dropped from the squad for the T20I series that followed the World Cup against New Zealand.

On 7 July 2022, Pandya reached his first T20 international fifty against England at The Rose Bowl in Southampton, scoring 51 runs off 33 balls.
Pandya also took 4 wickets, making him the first Indian player to record a half and take 4 wickets in a single T20 international.
Pandya made his One Day International (ODI) debut for India against New Zealand on 16 October 2016 in Dharamshala. He became the fourth Indian to be named man of the match on ODI debut after Sandeep Patil, Mohit Sharma and K.L. Rahul.

He also set the record for scoring the most runs in a Test innings for India, scoring 26 runs, which was later surpassed by Jasprit Bumrah.
